Joint Venture APG-FTE automotive Co. Ltd.
The German-Chinese Joint Venture APG-FTE automotive, founded in July 2003, is located in Hangzhou west of Shanghai. In co-operation with the Chinese partner Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Ltd. (APG) aluminum wheel cylinders are produced here. Also on the basis of a technology transfer brake boosters and clutch hydraulics are manufactured for the booming Chinese market.
APG-FTE is one of the largest domestic manufacturers of complete automobile brake systems in China, and with 1.200 employees also one of the major manufacturers of automobile components.
The product range includes: brake boosters, brake calipers, brake discs and drums, clutch master cylinders, slave cylinders, wheel cylinders and drum brakes. APG-FTE products are mainly supplied to major domestic automobile manufacturers such as VW-Shanghai, FAW, FAW-VW, Dongfeng Motor, Citroën, Beijing Cherokee, Jinbei Passenger Car, Isuzu, Toyota and American Delphi.
